Background

A person receiving a war widow/ers pension may also receive an income support pension generally from DVA or Centrelink. The rate of income support pension payable to a war widow/er is usually limited to a ceiling of $120.10 per fortnight.  These pensions are frequently referred to as ceiling or frozen rate pensions.
