Appeal procedure

The procedure for appeals against a determination of income for DH&FS purposes, parallels the current procedures for appeals against an income support determination.

A written advice to the resident of the outcome of the appeal, advice of their appeal rights and the requirement for the resident to appeal within 3 months after receiving notice of a determination of their aged care fees, should be issued.
