Acquired cataract - Intraocular surgery Factor
Intraocular surgery includes any surgery that involves penetration of the eyeball. The most common example would be intraocular lens implant (IOL) surgery which is the standard treatment for cataracts. Pterygium surgery is not intraocular surgery as it is limited to the surface of the eye. Intraocular surgery is a major procedure that would be documented in medical records.
