A Condition that can Contribute to Osteoarthritis
Preliminary questions [41571]

[hotwords::3499] there is some evidence that a condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis may be a factor in the development or worsening of the condition under consideration.

41573 the veteran has had a condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis at some time.

41574  the condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis is an illness or injury which is identifiable.

41575  the veteran has established the causal connection between the condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis and VEA service for osteoarthritis.

41576 the veteran had the identified illness or injury, a condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis, before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

41577   the veteran has established the causal connection between the condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis and VEA service for the clinical onset of osteoarthritis.

41580  the veteran has established the causal connection between the condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis and operational service for the clinical onset of osteoarthritis.

or

41581  the veteran has established the causal connection between the condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis and eligible service for the clinical onset of osteoarthritis.

or

7334     the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred after the end of the veteran's last period of VEA service.

7335     the condition under consideration permanently worsened.

41578 the veteran had the identified illness or injury, a condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis, before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration.

41579   the veteran has established the causal connection between the condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis and VEA service for the clinical worsening of osteoarthritis.

41584  the veteran has established the causal connection between the condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis and operational service for the clinical worsening of osteoarthritis.

or

41585  the veteran has established the causal connection between the condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis and eligible service for the clinical worsening of osteoarthritis.

Clinical onset and operational service [41580]

41582  the identified illness or injury, a condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis, is causally related to operational service.

Clinical onset and eligible service [41581]

41583  the identified illness or injury, a condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis, is causally related to eligible service.

Clinical worsening and operational service [41584]

41582  the identified illness or injury, a condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis, is causally related to operational service.

41586 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred prior to that part of operational service to which the identified illness or injury, a condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis, is causally related.

Clinical worsening and eligible service [41585]

41583  the identified illness or injury, a condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis, is causally related to eligible service.

41588 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred prior to that part of eligible service to which the identified illness or injury, a condition that can contribute to osteoarthritis, is causally related.
