Open-angle glaucoma - Iridocorneal endothelial syndrome Factor

The RMA states that iridocorneal endothelial syndrome "means a syndrome in which there is a characteristic abnormality of the corneal endothelium." It is also known as Essential Iris Atrophy, Iris naevus syndrome, Chandler's syndrome and Cogan-Reese syndrome. This is a rare disorder of unknown cause in which there is slowly progressive atrophy of iris tissue, and it is almost always unilateral.

PRELIMINARY QUESTIONS [11929]

11930 there is some evidence that iridocorneal endothelial syndrome may be a factor in the development of the condition under consideration.

11931 the veteran has suffered from iridocorneal endothelial syndrome at some time.

11932 the veteran has suffered from iridocorneal endothelial syndrome of side and site of the body at some time.

11933 the veteran was suffering from iridocorneal endothelial syndrome of side and site of the body at the time of the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

11934  the veteran has established the causal connection between the iridocorneal endothelial syndrome and VEA service for the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

11935   the veteran has established the causal connection between the iridocorneal endothelial syndrome and operational service for the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

or

11938   the veteran has established the causal connection between the iridocorneal endothelial syndrome and eligible service for the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

CLINICAL ONSET AND OPERATIONAL SERVICE [11935]

11940  the iridocorneal endothelial syndrome of side and site of the body is causally related to operational service.

CLINICAL ONSET AND ELIGIBLE SERVICE [11938]

11941  the iridocorneal endothelial syndrome of side and site of the body is causally related to eligible service.
