Open-angle glaucoma - Endogenous hypercortisolism Factor
This means hypercortisolism having its origin within the organism. This includes hypercortisolism due to adrenal hyperplasia, ACTH secreting pituitary tumours etc. It does not include hypercortisolism due to an exogenous (outside the organism) cause such as taking excess ACTH or glucocorticoid medication.
You may need medical advice to determine whether or not hypercortisolism is endogenous.

PRELIMINARY QUESTIONS [31364]
31365 there is some evidence that endogenous hypercortisolism may be a factor in the development of the condition under consideration.

31367 the veteran suffered endogenous hypercortisolism within the 12 months before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.
31368 the endogenous hypercortisolism is due to an illness or injury which is identifiable.
31369 the veteran has established the causal connection between the endogenous hypercortisolism and VEA service for the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.
31370 the veteran has established the causal connection between the endogenous hypercortisolism and operational service for the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.
or
31371 the veteran has established the causal connection between the endogenous hypercortisolism and eligible service for the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.
CLINICAL ONSET AND OPERATIONAL SERVICE [31370]
31372 the identified illness or injury which caused the endogenous hypercortisolism is causally related to operational service.
CLINICAL ONSET AND ELIGIBLE SERVICE [31371]
31373 the identified illness or injury which caused the endogenous hypercortisolism is causally related to eligible service.
