Open-angle glaucoma - A neoplasm which is either invading or shedding cells into the anterior chamber Factor
Any tumour of the eye, benign or malignant can potentially cause glaucoma. Benign tumours in this context include cysts or naevi. It is also possible for lymphoid tumours or leukaemias to cause glaucoma.
Shedding cells is the dropping of cells into the anterior chamber. Invasion means the physical spread of a neoplasm, either benign or malignant. Either by shedded cells or by physical invasion, the filtration angle is blocked.
Diagnosis of such a neoplasm would be made by an ophthalmologist.
