Clinical onset and operational service [35483]

the veteran has smoked at least 10 pack-years of cigarettes or the equivalent thereof in other tobacco products before the clinical onset of acute myeloid leukaemia, and where smoking has ceased the clinical onset of acute myeloid leukaemia has occurred within ten years of cessation.

smoking as a causal result of operational service made a material contribution to the SOP requirements for acute myeloid leukaemia and smoking tobacco products.

the veteran has smoked at least 15 pack-years of cigarettes or the equivalent thereof in other tobacco products before the clinical onset of acute myeloid leukaemia, and where smoking has ceased the clinical onset of acute myeloid leukaemia has occurred within five years of cessation.
