Rotator Cuff Syndrome - An infection of the subacromial bursa Factor

The subacromial bursa is a fluid-filled sac between the supraspinatus tendon and the acromion.  Infection at this site is uncommon, but may be caused by bacteria, candida, tuberculosis or develop secondary to a foreign body.  People in an immunocomprised state are more susceptible to infection.  Common inflammatory conditions such as bursitis are not an infection.  Seek medical advice to confirm the existence of infection and its underlying cause.

Clinical onset and operational service [36903]

36909  the identified illness or injury, which caused the infection of the subacromial bursa of side and site of the body, is causally related to operational service.

Clinical onset and eligible service [36904]

36910  the identified illness or injury, which caused the infection of the subacromial bursa of side and site of the body, is causally related to eligible service.

Clinical worsening and operational service [36905]

36909  the identified illness or injury, which caused the infection of the subacromial bursa of side and site of the body, is causally related to operational service.

36911 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred prior to that part of operational service to which the identified illness or injury, which caused the infection of the subacromial bursa of side and site of the body, is causally related.

Clinical worsening and eligible service [36906]

36910  the identified illness or injury, which caused the infection of the subacromial bursa of side and site of the body, is causally related to eligible service.

36912 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred prior to that part of eligible service to which the identified illness or injury, which caused the infection of the subacromial bursa of side and site of the body, is causally related.
