The RMA has revoked and not replaced the previously issued SOPs for spina bifida, with effect from 1 June 2015. Following an investigation, the RMA has concluded that spina bifida cannot be related to service.
The RMA Declaration and Reasons for Decision are available on the RMA Internet Site. As a consequence of this decision by the RMA, under the VEA and the MRCA, spina bifida cannot be accepted as service-related.
