Plantar fasciitis - Prolonged weightbearing on the foot on a hard surface Factor

The factor requires weightbearing (being on the feet) while on a hard surface for at least 5 hours per day.  There are no associated definitions.  The weightbearing does not require any lifting or carrying of loads, just that the affected foot bears weight (of the body) while on a hard surface.  Such would occur when simply standing on any hard surface such as a concrete floor or bitumen roadway, but would also include any running, exercise or other activity undertaken that was undertaken on a hard surface.

Running or Weight Bearing on the Foot - Plantar Fasciitis

Preliminary questions [37810]

37828  the veteran has established the causal connection between prolonged weightbearing on the foot on a hard surface and VEA service for plantar fasciitis.

37829   the veteran has established the causal connection between prolonged weightbearing on the foot on a hard surface and VEA service for the clinical onset of plantar fasciitis.

37831  the veteran has established the causal connection between prolonged weightbearing on the foot on a hard surface and operational service for the clinical onset of plantar fasciitis.

or

37832  the veteran has established the causal connection between prolonged weightbearing on the foot on a hard surface and eligible service for the clinical onset of plantar fasciitis.

or

7334     the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred after the end of the veteran's last period of VEA service.

7335     the condition under consideration permanently worsened.

37830   the veteran has established the causal connection between prolonged weightbearing on the foot on a hard surface and VEA service for the clinical worsening of plantar fasciitis.

37833  the veteran has established the causal connection between prolonged weightbearing on the foot on a hard surface and operational service for the clinical worsening of plantar fasciitis.

or

37834  the veteran has established the causal connection between prolonged weightbearing on the foot on a hard surface and eligible service for the clinical worsening of plantar fasciitis.

Clinical onset and operational service [37831]

37835 the veteran underwent prolonged weightbearing on side and site of the body while on a hard surface for at least five hours per day, on more days than not, for the six months before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

37839 operational service made a material contribution to the veteran undergoing prolonged weightbearing on side and site of the body while on a hard surface for at least five hours per day, on more days than not, for the six months before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

Clinical onset and eligible service [37832]

37836 the veteran underwent prolonged weightbearing on side and site of the body while on a hard surface for at least five hours per day, on more days than not, for the twelve months before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

37840 eligible service made a material contribution to the veteran undergoing prolonged weightbearing on side and site of the body while on a hard surface for at least five hours per day, on more days than not, for the twelve months before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

Clinical worsening and operational service [37833]

37837 the veteran underwent prolonged weightbearing on side and site of the body while on a hard surface for at least five hours per day, on more days than not, for the six months before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration.

37841 operational service made a material contribution to the veteran undergoing prolonged weightbearing on side and site of the body while on a hard surface for at least five hours per day, on more days than not, for the six months before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration.

37843 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred before the veteran undertook prolonged weightbearing on side and site of the body while on a hard surface for at least five hours per day, on more days than not, for the six months before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration, which was materially contributed to by operational service.

Clinical worsening and eligible service [37834]

37838 the veteran underwent prolonged weightbearing on side and site of the body while on a hard surface for at least five hours per day, on more days than not, for the twelve months before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration.

37842 eligible service made a material contribution to the veteran undergoing prolonged weightbearing on side and site of the body while on a hard surface for at least five hours per day, on more days than not, for the twelve months before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration.

37844 the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred before the veteran undertook prolonged weightbearing on side and site of the body while on a hard surface for at least five hours per day, on more days than not, for the twelve months before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration, which was materially contributed to by eligible service.
