24027 there is some evidence that surgery to the abdomen or thorax may be a factor in the development of the condition under consideration.
23940 the veteran has undergone surgery to the abdomen or thorax at some time.
23941 the veteran underwent surgery to the abdomen or thorax within the 30 days immediately before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration. 23942 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the surgery to the abdomen or thorax and VEA service for the clinical onset of acute pancreatitis. 23943 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the surgery to the abdomen or thorax and operational service for the clinical onset of acute pancreatitis. or 23944 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the surgery to the abdomen or thorax and eligible service for the clinical onset of acute pancreatitis.
