Inguinal hernia - Inability to obtain appropriate clinical management for inguinal hernia Factor
In the case of inguinal hernia, appropriate clinical management may include establishment of the diagnosis, regular surveillance and treatment. In the past, where surgery was not contemplated, a truss may have been provided. In most cases it is now possible to correct the defect by surgical procedure. Surgery is usually preferred in order to prevent possible strangulation of bowel. For a strangulated hernia emergency surgery is required.
