Hypertension - Chronic renal disease or injury Factor

Chronic renal disease or injury means chronic irreversible renal damage from conditions, such as:

  • Analgesic nephropathy
  • Chronic glomerulonephritis
  • Chronic pyelonephritis
  • Diabetic nephrosclerosis
  • Obstructive nephropathy
  • Polycystic kidney disease
  • Renal ischaemia/infarction
  • Renal scarring
  • Renal tuberculosis

9043     there is some evidence that a chronic renal disease or injury may be a factor in the development or worsening of the condition under consideration.

601       the veteran has suffered from a chronic renal disease or injury at some time.
