As a cause of depressive disorder, this SOP factor applies only for substance-induced mood disorder with depressive features.  As an aggravating factor, it applies to all types of depressive disorder.

The SOP factor requires:

taking a drug from a class of drugs in specified List 1, within the one month before the clinical onset/worsening of depressive disorder.

The psychiatric report that conforms with the Repatriation Commission Guidelines for Psychiatric Compensation Claims will include history of any drugs taken in the month before onset or worsening of depressive disorder.  You can find out whether a particular drug is in one of the specified classes of drugs by looking in a MIMS publication eg www.mims.hcn.net.au or asking a medical officer or pharmacist.
