9.6.2 Original decision maker
9.6.2.1 — All requests for a review of a decision must be referred to the original decision maker (ODM), or the current occupant of that position. Centrelink policy states that if a person is dissatisfied or unhappy with a decision, the person should discuss the decision directly with the ODM. This provides the pensioner and the Department with the opportunity to correct misunderstandings, present new information or evidence, and/or have an incorrect decision changed immediately.
