Preliminary questions [31782]
there is some evidence that having a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums may be a factor in the development of the condition under consideration.31820 the veteran had a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums at the time of the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.
31811 — the veteran has established the causal connection between having a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums and VEA service for the clinical onset of gingivitis.
31812 — the veteran has established the causal connection between having a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums and operational service for the clinical onset of gingivitis.
or
31813 — the veteran has established the causal connection between having a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums and eligible service for the clinical onset of gingivitis.
Clinical onset and operational service [31812]
on operational service, the veteran had a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums at the time of the clinical onset of the condition under consideration. the microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums at the time of the clinical onset of the condition under consideration, on operational service, was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.or
the veteran had a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums as a result of an illness or injury which is identifiable.31819 — the identified illness or injury, which caused the embedding of a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body in the affected region of the gums, is causally related to operational service.
Clinical onset and eligible service [31813]
on eligible service, the veteran had a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums at the time of the clinical onset of the condition under consideration. on eligible service, in the course of eligible service duties, the veteran had a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums at the time of the clinical onset of the condition under consideration. the microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums at the time of the clinical onset of the condition under consideration, on eligible service, was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.or
the veteran had a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body embedded in the affected region of the gums as a result of an illness or injury which is identifiable.31821 — the identified illness or injury, which caused the embedding of a microscopic or macroscopic foreign body in the affected region of the gums, is causally related to eligible service.
