Rates of compensation following death payable under the MRCA
Current rates of the benefits described in the following sections which are payable under the MRCA are found in CLIK under Payment Rates
From 1 July 2026, “other dependants” can include parents, grandparents, step- parents, step-child/ren, brothers, sisters and similar relations (parent or step-parent of member’s partner, child or stepchild of member’s partner, grandchild of veteran, brother, sister, half-brother or half-sister).
Evidence may be required to prove an individual was wholly or partly dependant on the veteran for economic support (excluding Wholly Dependent Partners or Eligible Young Persons).
