Eligible children
Eligible children are dependent children of income support pensioners, including 'not a member of a couple' pensioners or members of illness separated respite care couples.
PCC benefits for dependent children
If a pensioner in receipt of a Pensioner Concession Card (PCC) has dependent children, details of those children are recorded on the pensioner's PCC. Those children are then eligible for any medical or pharmacuetical concessions available with that card. Children retain dependency even while absent from the custodial pensioner or couple, e.g. while on an access visit to the non-custodial parent.
