• Participate in choice of preferred provider in consultation with the Comcare Australia Claims Manager

  • Facilitate access by the Provider to the workplace

  • Arrange referral to an approved rehabilitation provider as soon as it is evident that rehabilitation will be of assistance.  This may be to the same Provider who has been involved in the claim investigation process

  • Where the employer does not have a policy allowing payment for rehabilitation for non compensable cases, the referral will need to wait until Comcare Australia advises the outcome of the liability decision

  • Where Comcare Australia has denied liability the employer should assess how they can assist the employee
