Skin diseases may be 'stress' related, can result from contact with chemicals that adversely affect the skin, or can be hereditary.

These claims aren't too difficult to manage.  Once it has been established from the initial claim form what the employee considers to be the reason for the condition (this will usually indicate whether there is a 'stress' related component), appropriate investigation may be commenced.

If the condition was said to have arisen from 'stress' factors, obtain statements from the employer and employee, then seek medical evidence.

Where there has been contact with chemicals (such as where the employee is a cleaner, or is a mechanic who uses degreasing oil), usually over a long period of time, it can quite clearly be established that there is an employment related link.  A medical certificate supporting the claim (as per section 54) should suffice as other evidence.
