VETERANS' CHILDREN EDUCATION SCHEME (VCES) - Changes in the maximum amounts of Rent Assistance Effective from 1 July 2000

The purpose of this DI is to advise of amendments to DI C15/2000 issued 31 May 2000.

DI C15/2000 advised of increases in the maximum amount of rent assistance payable from 1 July 2000.  However, the Government has subsequently announced additional rent assistance to low income earners and the amounts that were previously advised are now obsolete.

The attached document details the new maximum rent assistance amounts payable.   Please note that the rent threshold amounts remain unchanged.
