In December 2013, the Minister for Social Services commissioned a review of Australia’s welfare system to identify improvements to ensure the social support system is sustainable, effective and coherent, and encourages people to work. On 29 June 2014, the Reference Group’s Interim Report was released. On 25 February 2015, the Australian Government released the Final Report (and Executive Summary) into the review of Australia’s welfare system, A New System for Better Employment and Social Outcomes. | |
