Redeployment is a term used to describe
|
an employee being formally moved to another job because he or she can no longer perform the duties of the position they were previously in, due to the compensable condition. |
This may result in:
-
a reduction in salary; and/or
-
hours of work.
Superannuation may also form part of the employee's redeployment entitlement.
Where an employee had an entitlement to a partial invalidity pension prior to 01/07/1995 in the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation CSS fund and he or she was in receipt of compensation payments, superannuation was payable.
However, on and from 01/07/1995, members of the CSS were not entitled to workers' compensation payments and a pension.
In addition, PSS members are not entitled to any partial pension payment where redeployment involves compensation.
Compensation is payable for a reduction in salary, having regard to the amount of hours the employee is working.
