“Section 111 applies in relation to an amount payable under a determination made in respect of a claim referred to in this section as if the deceased person had died after the determination was made.”
This subsection relates to cases where a decision is made on a claim, but the employee dies before payment may be made.
Section 111 allows Comcare to go ahead and make payment direct to the employee's Estate, or to the Commonwealth where the employee has died intestate (that is, without making a will).
