While negotiations on overpayment recovery will be commenced between Comcare and the employee, issues involving entry of superannuation details have already been provided by the superannuation fund. These will need to be entered onto P — RACSYS as soon as they are available.

To ensure that calculations are accurately determined for superannuants and automatic processes available for incapacity determinations are correctly applied, the 'CSUP.CM' (Change Employee Super Details) screen must be completed.
The function is a straightforward one and most of the information entered on the screen will be able to be taken directly from advice received from the superannuation fund.
These details will automatically affect the section of the Act the employee is paid under for incapacity, which in turn affects how much he or she is paid. If a period of incapacity is manually determined, the superannuation amount will need to be taken into account as part of the calculation.
** PRACSYS is currently unable to accept entry of both lump sum and pension details. Manual calculations of incapacity will be required until the system is capable of entry of section 21A details.
After entry of superannuation details, the existing determination record must be altered. By voiding and amending the record to take into account superannuation (which will mean the rate of compensation will be less), PRACSYS will automatically set up a recovery account for the difference between the paid amount and the lesser entitlement.
Where the voided determination involves periods of incapacity yet to be paid, these will need to be redetermined using the 'CIND' (Create Incapacity Determination) function, as the whole initial determination has been voided.
