Dear

I refer to your recent compensation claim for permanent impairment.

To qualify for a payment for impairment, I must be satisfied that:

  • you suffer an impairment as a result of an injury;

  • all reasonable rehabilitative treatment has been undertaken;

  • the impairment is permanent (i.e. likely to continue indefinitely); and

  • the degree of impairment is at least 10%.

The available evidence indicates that the condition for which you seek compensation is not yet permanent.

That evidence also indicates that this is likely to change in the future.  Accordingly, I have deferred a decision on your claim and set a review date for <month/year> having regard to the medical opinion received (copy enclosed).

Please read the back of this letter carefully.  It outlines your rights and obligations relating to your claim.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of your claim for permanent impairment, please contact me on <phone number> quoting file reference <claim number>.

Yours sincerely
