Once the design of PRACSYS began, Comcare needed to decide on the direction to take with the Dirpay system.  Should it:

  • be integrated, or

  • left as a system which operated still in Corporate Centre, independently of PRACSYS.

Integration was chosen as the preferred course of action and one that best met Comcare's TCM model.

The functions previously performed by the Direct Payments Team in Corporate Centre either:

  • became automated by PRACSYS;

  • were transferred to State office staff; or

  • transferred to the Human Resources Group.

This was all achieved in June 1993.
