State Health Departments’ solution
To assist state Departments of Health to transition to the new arrangements, DVA will deliver a new ICT system - the 'HOTSPUR Portal'. The HOTSPUR Portal will enable submission of hospital episode data for validation and processing by DVA.
State Health Departments will be able to upload and submit data files of hospital episode data. They will be able to view payments and view and respond to reconciliations. They will also receive individual and broadcast notifications from DVA about important information.
DVA staff solution
DVA staff will receive a new system HOTSPUR 2.0 that will replace the existing HOTSPUR system.
Online in HOTSPUR 2.0 staff will be able to:
- Filter and view data files submitted by State Departments of Health.
- View agreements between DVA and the states including:
- coding
- parameters
- medical adjustment units
- contract details
- agreement history
- Review and approve payments
- View or delete reference data
- Edit user details and issue passwords
- View system notifications about data file and payment processing.
