AWOTEFA update under sub-section 19(5) – effective 19 May 2005

Background

  1. Subsection 19(5) of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 provides for a ceiling on weekly incapacity payments after the first 45 weeks.

  1. This ceiling is 150% of the Average Weekly Ordinary Time Earnings for Full Time Adults (AWOTEFA).  AWOTEFA is published quarterly by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
