DOB is an important fact in claim processing

The client's date of birth is a critically important fact for many elements of compensation claim processing, including:

  • cessation of incapacity payments upon reaching age 65;
  • calculation of redemption;
  • compensation for prescribed children;
  • accessing preserved superannuation entitlements.

It is highly unlikely that the date of birth of a Defence Force member would not be recorded in ADF records.  This date of birth recorded in ADF records must be used for all compensation processing purposes.
