Before initially logging onto the system, everyone is provided with a password as part of the setting up of the Access Profile.

This initial password is only valid when first logging on.  The password will then need to be altered to one the user is more familiar with.  PRACSYS will not be accessible until a new password is entered.

A number of rules apply to all passwords, which are case sensitive.  They must be:

  • at least 6 characters long;

  • no longer than 8 characters;

  • made up of at least 2 alphabetic (upper or lower case) and at least 1 numeric or special character (such as %, &, /, or $);

  • compiled of characters other than the user's first name or surname.

The password will expire every 35 days.
