The overpayment recovery function has a second page, which is only used to manually link details for non-incapacity overpayments.

This page lists all line items from the initial invoice on which the overpayment occurred (this will depend, of course, on selection criteria entered at the 'search' stage).  Until line items are appropriately linked to the recovery record, the account will not be activated, irrespective of whether overpayment and recovery details have been entered.

Linking line items may be seen as a reconciliation between payment and recovery.  In this regard, the activation process will only be successful if the amount of all line items selected match the figure identified on the first page as being the 'Recovery amount'.

Two distinct functions may be used to create accounts and then link line items:

'CORA'Creating both the recovery account and line items;

'CRLI'Linking respective overpaid line items for an account which has previously been set up.

From within 'CORA', if the recovery record is being fully set up and activated, commitment of account details will automatically invoke the line items screen.  However, logically the account record itself must be created first.

There is also a discreet function on the Recoveries application menu, 'CRLI' (Create Recovery Line Items), which can be used when the initial 'CORA' process precludes linking of line item details.
