Non incapacity benefits are claims made in conjunction with, or following, an initial claim for compensation. In this regard, it is recommended that initial liability and PRACSYS procedures be understood prior to reading this volume.
In particular, Volumes 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 should form preliminary reading.
While claims staff usually process claims for non incapacity in isolation of initial claim decisions, as with determination of any subsequent benefit entitlement it is illogical to teach staff the non incapacity process without due regard to:

how claims are lodged;

why they are lodged; and

how they are determined.
