Database Capabilities

The database provides the means to:

• register potential third party damages claims; and

• record details of outcomes of those claims.

Having this particular type of data in one place allows a clear assessment to be made on a number of issues:

• premium related matters for customers;

• recovery performance where claimants elect to initiate proceedings; and

• recovery performance where Comcare initiates or takes over current proceedings on the claimant's behalf.

While primarily set up to assist with premium calculations, the database also provides nationally consistent records of cases for Common Law officers as part of their specialised Claims Management roles.
