Redundancy (or termination) payments, are:
- leave payments relating to a person's employment that has been terminated;
- redundancy payments, including payments in lieu of notice; and
- any other payments connected with the termination of a person's employment.
These would include, but not be limited to :
- payments in respect of untaken long service leave, annual leave, sick leave;
- payments made under contracts for early termination of employment;
- gratuity payments (such as a farewell gift paid in addition to a person's contract or award entitlements);
- payments made under the Fair Entitlements Guarantee (FEG) or the General Employee Entitlements and Redundancy Scheme (GEERS).
