Redemptions
A redemption involves ceasing ongoing incapacity payments and paying future incapacity entitlement in one lump sum when the weekly entitlement is below the prescribed redemption rate.
A redemption does not affect compensation benefits such as medical treatment or permanent impairment.
The delegation for a redemption determination under the DRCA and the MRCA is at the APS6 level.
