Wholly dependent partner clearance procedures and ISS claim referrals
There are 2 clearances that must be undertaken prior to a WDP payment being made:
Requesting information from Defence
Delegates can initiate a request for Defence-held service and health records via the following pathways:
- Defence Data Electronic Information Exchange (DDEIE)
- Request Management System (RMS).
DDEIE and RMS requests are lodged via Process Direct Request Management System (PD RMS).
Defence Data Electronic Information Exchange (DDEIE)
DDEIE allows for real-time data to be exchanged for certain records.

Death and war widow/ers claims
Following determination, correspondence that is sent relating to benefits for children must be stored under the child’s UIN container.
Claims for death under the MRCA are submitted on the D2053 – Claim for Compensation for Dependants of Deceased Members and Former Members.
