The Repatriation Commission, in a decision ratified on 6 May 2020, endorsed the attached document as an indicative list of operations that it considers 'disaster relief service' and 'border protection service'.  This list is relevant to assessing Reservist eligibility for treatment of any mental health condition through Non-Liability Health Care arrangements should they have no other eligibility pathway to access said arrangements.

Defence and service record requests 

Defence service and medical records are requested to assist the processing of claims. Delegates use these records to assess and identify any connection of the claimed condition to ADF service. 

Non-liability health care procedures

DVA pays for the treatment of certain mental and physical health conditions without the need for the conditions to be accepted as related to service. This is known as non-liability health care (NLHC).
