What are incapacity payments
Incapacity payments are compensation for economic loss due to an inability or reduced ability to work because of a service injury or disease.
The Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988 (DRCA) and the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA) provide for compensation for economic loss by way of incapacity payments. However there are differences between these Acts, including the definition of Incapacity and the calculation of incapacity payments.
