Delegates may decide at any time during the life of an incapacity claim, and at certain set review points, that a medical review is required to confirm ongoing incapacity and/or a client's potential to benefit from a rehabilitation program.
In the first instance it is preferable to obtain a incapacity assessment report from the client's treating specialist or GP if there is no treating specialist.
Where a suitable medical report cannot be obtained by a treating GP or specialist, a review by an independent specialist may be appropriate.
