This Determination is the Veterans' Entitlements (Non-warlike Service – Operation Aslan) Determination 2012.

2Commencement

This Determination commences on the day after it is registered.

3Definition

In this Determination:

ADF means the Australian Defence Force.

Section 4

4Non- warlike service

For subsection 5C (1) of the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986, service in an operation mentioned in Schedule 1 is non-w — arlike service if the service:

(a)       is in an area of operation mentioned in Schedule 1; and

(b)      occurs:

i.         during a period mentioned in Schedule 1, or

ii.       on and from the start date mentioned in Schedule 1.
