The Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 is used by claims managers as the basis for all benefit entitlement decisions.
The Act not only applies to all claims with a date of injury from 01/12/1988, but also to claims made under previous Commonwealth workers' compensation legislation.
