these were the regular troops of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH), formed by an amalgamation of parts of German-occupied Bosnia, Herzegovina and Croatia, led by Ante Pavelich, founder of the Ustashi (see below);

a paramilitary, terrorist organisation formed in 1929 to achieve the secession of Croatia from Yugoslavia;

Ljoticevci

adherents of the Serbian fascist Dimitrije Ljotic who formed an irregular force which fought in and around Serbia and was allied to the Germans and Italians;

Nedicevci

forces of pro-German government set up in Serbia under General Milan Nedic;

The White Guard

a pro-fascist group headed by Major Novak and formed by the Italians in 1942 to help quell a Partisan-led uprising in Slovenia.
