The scheme in place in States and Territories where the Repatriation Private Patient Principles apply.  Under the Scheme, entitled persons may be treated as private patients in local public hospitals, former RGHs or a contracted Private Tier 1 Veteran Partnering (VP) hospital without prior approval from the Department.
