IMPORTANT OPERATIONAL FEATURES
aortic stenosis | Revocation – 5 & 6 of '00 Replaces 95 and 96 of '96 |
- The only change has been the removal of the syphilis factor.
dementia pugilistica | Revocation – 7 & 8 of '00 Replaces 21 and 22 of '97 |
- This factor has been redefined and is no longer limited to competitive boxing; instead it now refers to discrete episodes of head trauma.
physical injury due to munitions discharge | Revocation – 9 & 10 of '00 Replaces 39 and 40 of '94 as amended by 229 and 230 of '95 |
- This SOP replaces the SOP for gunshot wounds. The SOP covers damage to body tissue, organs or bone as a direct result of explosion, weapon discharge or shrapnel fragments.
- For CCPS purposes this SOP will still be combined with the SOP for cuts, stabs, abrasions and lacerations because ICD codes are shared.
gout | Revocation – 11 & 12 of '00 Replaces 88 and 89 of '97 |
- An alcohol consumption factor has now been added. This requires that at least 150 kg (RH) or 220 kg (BOP) of alcohol be consumed within the 10 years immediately before clinical onset of gout.
