Immunosuppressive therapy for an organ transplantation

Gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer - Immunosuppressive therapy for an organ transplantation Factor

Last reviewed for CCPS 24 May 2007.

Preliminary questions [37595]

37596 [1] there is some evidence that immunosuppressive therapy for an organ transplantation may be a factor in the development or worsening of the condition under consideration.

2365 [2] the veteran has had an organ transplantation at some time.

37597 — the organ transplantation required the veteran to receive immunosuppressive therapy.

37598 — the organ transplantation requiring the veteran to receive immunosuppressive therapy was for treatment of an illness or injury which is identifiable.

37601 — the veteran has established the causal connection between immunosuppressive therapy for an organ transplantation and operational service for gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer.

[3]37599

as a consequence of the identified illness or injury, the veteran received immunosuppressive therapy for the organ transplantation before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

37602 — the veteran has established the causal connection between immunosuppressive therapy for an organ transplantation and operational service for the clinical onset of gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer.

or

[4]37600

as a consequence of the identified illness or injury, the veteran received immunosuppressive therapy for the organ transplantation before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration.

37603 — the veteran has established the causal connection between immunosuppressive therapy for an organ transplantation and operational service for the clinical worsening of gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer.

Clinical onset and operational service [37602]

2371 — the identified illness or injury for which the organ transplant was given is causally related to operational service. [5]

Clinical worsening and operational service [37603]

2371 — the identified illness or injury for which the organ transplant was given is causally related to operational service. [6]

[7]37604

the clinical onset of the condition under consideration occurred prior to that part of operational service to which the identified illness or injury, for which the veteran had the organ transplant requiring immunosuppressive therapy, is causally related. [8]
