Last reviewed for CCPS 30 June 1999.
Preliminary questions [16840]
17080 [1] there is some evidence that therapeutic radiation to the perianal area may be a factor in the development or worsening of the condition under consideration.
16996 [1] the veteran has undergone a course of therapeutic radiation to the perianal area at some time.
16998 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area and VEA service for pruritus ani.
17001 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area and VEA service for the clinical onset of pruritus ani.
17003 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area and operational service for the clinical onset of pruritus ani.
or
17004 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area and eligible service for the clinical onset of pruritus ani.
or
16849 [2] the clinical onset of the veteran's pruritus ani occurred after the end of the veteran's last period of VEA service. the veteran's pruritus ani permanently worsened. as a consequence of the identified illness or injury, the veteran underwent therapeutic radiation to the perianal area within the thirty days immediately before the clinical worsening of the condition under consideration. 17002 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area and VEA service for the clinical worsening of pruritus ani. 17005 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area and operational service for the clinical worsening of pruritus ani. or 17006 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area and eligible service for the clinical worsening of pruritus ani. Clinical onset and operational service [17003] or 17007 — the identified illness or injury, for which the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area was undergone, is causally related to operational service. [9] [10] Clinical onset and eligible service [17004] 17008 — the identified illness or injury, for which the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area was undergone, is causally related to eligible service. [9] [10] Clinical worsening and operational service [17005] 17007 — the identified illness or injury, for which the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area was undergone, is causally related to operational service. [12] [10] Clinical worsening and eligible service [17006] 17008 — the identified illness or injury, for which the therapeutic radiation to the perianal area was undergone, is causally related to eligible service.
