Preliminary questions [35911]

35935 [1] the veteran has experienced a category 1B stressor at some time.

the veteran experienced a category 1B stressor not more than four weeks before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

35941 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the category 1B stressor and VEA service for the clinical onset of acute stress disorder.

35942 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the category 1B stressor and operational service for the clinical onset of acute stress disorder.

or

35943 — the veteran has established the causal connection between the category 1B stressor and eligible service for the clinical onset of acute stress disorder.

Clinical onset and operational service [35942]

on operational service, the veteran experienced a category 1B stressor not more than four weeks before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

[4]35939

the category 1B stressor which the veteran experienced on operational service not more than four weeks before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration, was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.

or

the veteran experienced a category 1B stressor not more than four weeks before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration as a consequence of an illness or injury which is identifiable.

37889 — the identified illness or injury, as a consequence of which the veteran experienced a category 1B stressor not more than four weeks before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration, is causally related to operational service. [6]

on eligible service, the veteran experienced a category 1B stressor not more than four weeks before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

as a causal result of eligible service, the veteran experienced a category 1B stressor not more than four weeks before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration.

the category 1B stressor which the veteran experienced on eligible service not more than four weeks before the clinical onset of the condition under consideration, was due to the veteran's serious default, wilful act or serious breach of discipline.
