An approved provider is an organisation that has been assessed to meet certain standards of care, lifestyle, safety and buildings in the provision of aged care services and accommodation. Providers receive Australian Government subsidies to conduct aged care services for people who have been approved by an Aged Care Assessment Team/Service (ACAT or ACAS in Victoria) for residential aged care.
